Korea Derby

A Once in a lifetime event??? I was overly excited to see the two Koreas clash in Seoul in what was a very important qualifier for the 2010 World Cup. I could finally wear the shirt I bought in 2002 at an actual national Korean game! Here are the pictures. . . altough in truth the game was rather dull. There were no away fans, being North Korea, and the game ended 1-0 with a last minute strike settling it in the South's favour. Given South Africa is South Korea's seventh (or 8th?) consecutive world cup we know what to expect - a mix of pace and high workrate, but it was interesting to see the contrast with the style of play of the North who played an extremly disciplined game. In fact their 'start with a point' approach is precisely what they need if they are to proceed out of their Group of Death at the World Cup. Also, Winter Olympic gold medallist Kim Yoh-Na also made an appearance but I have no idea what she said!!!
